Having trouble taking pills as prescribed

I try lowering doses of meds I’m prescribed. Always been suspicious about psych docs and even primary docs. Paranoia makes it hard to trust.

Injections would be helpful for me, but my insurance doesn’t pay much, even though hospitalizations are more costly than injections! Some would cost me thousands of dollars after insurance.

Anyone relate?

I’ve never had a problem with my insurance covering meds, but some of them required prior authorization. The Cobenfy is the most expensive, running around $1600 a month, then the Mounjaro. Luckily, Medicare covers both. I don’t know if it would cover an LAI. But i agree, meds are cheaper than the hospital!

Not understanding what you mean. If I were on injections I wouldn’t lower meds on my own. I wouldn’t be able to. That’s all I was saying.

That might be better for you if you could be on depot injection. I hope you manage to get the help paying for it, goodluck @Bitty

i only lower the meds they give me that arent for the actual problem, like ineffective sleep, anxiety, depression, and extrapyramidal symptoms, i have lowered my ap before but my doctor agreed to it, and id never lower it to a point that affects my mind negatively
