Is nice but equally scary. I’m far from feeling manic but I also know that it comes on very quickly. The money has purpose and is extremely needed. My teeth have to be taken care of and I need progressive glasses. I was also hoping to take the kids to a cabin for a week in summer.

I understand your dilemma. It’s fun to get goodies, true, but how many make your life better in the long-term. Never undervalue your health. You only get one body, I say take as best care of it as possible. Maybe investigate insurance for dental and vision? Teaching universities nearby that do dental for very little? Keep what money you have and fix what you can, when you can. Save 10% over what you’ll spend. For instance: say you need $1000 of dental work. Accumulate an additional 1100, then have the work done. Just random numbers to illustrate what I mean.
