Have you ever been to the movies by yourself?

I’ve done it and man it’s awkward. I watched the Dark Knight Rises by myself in theaters after there was a shooting in a theater probably 30 minutes away a couple days before. There was this kid sitting in the row in front of me looking at me all funny.

I tired to look up the movie Survivors and can’t really find much about it. Is it an American movie?

I haven’t gone to the movie theatres for over 15 years. I used to Bit Torrent my movies but it seems Microsoft and major Internet Service Providers are cracking down on illegal downloads of movies and music.

I do this all the time. Why are people looking at me like I am a loser because I am by myself lol. Actually now you mention it I am always the only one there by myself. :open_mouth: Maybe I am being weird.

I only saw a movie alone once, and it wasn’t nearly as fun. I always drag my brother or someone else along and pay for the extra ticket if I have to.

I tried Frostwire and got an email from my cable company after downloading Brave, so I don’t pirate anything anymore.

I went to see the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie, and I was the only person in the theater. It was kind of awesome, I could sit wherever I wanted and laugh as much as I wanted.
I’m just glad they kept it open for me.

I don’t see any problem in going to the movies alone. There are no rules about it, and why should someone be unable to enjoy a movie just because they don’t have anyone to go with?

There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s just a little sad when you really want to see a movie and don’t have anyone to go with.

With my mental illness I kicked everyone out of my life.

For some reason my brother likes to go to the movies.
With tons of stuff on tv these days, I say why bother.

I went through a phase after they built a new theater near here where i went to the movies a lot. Always a matinee in the middle of the day and always by myself. I usually had the place all to myself. It was okay. I haven’t been in a while though. Going to the movies is expensive.

Yes I have quite a few times
Sometimes I went to see a film and I was the only one in the theatre
I love going cinema so why not
