I quit going to the movies. I suppose if I pinch some pennies I can afford a movie now and then. I just don’t know if I can tolerate the other people in the theatre. I enjoyed the SpongeBob movie. Did they make a sequel? Did they make a second SIMPSONS movie? I’ve been missing out. I can go to the movies in the daytime and nobody is there. I used to enjoy that.
I did not ever like going to the movies, but at one point in my life that was the only place you could see something sort of “on demand”. I shifted to home viewing with video rentals and the home experience has just kept on improving. Now I have an 80 inch screen with high dynamic range and surround sound. Nearly any movie or TV show I can think of is on tap at any time. I can snack on whatever I want and I can pause the show if I need to pee.
Life soooo good.
nope, not after the theater shooting…I stay home and stream.
I used to go to the movies all the time when I was young. Not so much nowadays. I’d rather watch at home now.
I like going to the movies. However, there were several years I didn’t go much. I’ve been going more last year and this year.
The movie theaters seem to be not very busy sometimes. I don’t think it’s sustainable. I looked it up and I read they’ve been less busy since the pandemic had started. I think it’s sad.
Yes I like going to the cinema but haven’t been in ages, I only go once in a blue moon
Always liked to go to movies used to have people to go with when young
Sometimes went on my own with no one to go with sometimes when I went I had the theatre to myself
There was a time when I did.
But I believe those days are over, for all of us.
I don’t think movie theaters will ever make a recovery from COVID.
Or the shootings.
The last time I went to the theater I legit didn’t feel safe.
However,
My sister goes all the time to see new movies.
If no one wants to see the movie, she’ll go by herself.
She loves it.
no.
did when i was young. tried to see avatar the other week and bailed. dont like it.
Yuck! Popcorn flying all over the place. Seat kickers. Insane concessions prices. Cellphones and talkers. Blah!
Steven Spielberg said that streaming threw movie makers under the bus. I say good. They had a good run.
I live in walking distance to a theater in town and I still don’t go there.
I LOVE going to the movies.
If someone won’t come with me, I’ll go by myself.
I haven’t gone in awhile, though, since I saw Bowie’s documentary.
Maybe it’s because I write screenplays… ?
Nope. It is dark and too many people.
I for 1 love going to movies
I am not psychologically equipped to handle all the racing thoughts that go through my mind when my feet come in contact with a sticky floor. No.
Just saw “80 for Brady” today. Really inspiring, although the acting was rather lacking.
