I can but I’m anxious. I have to take clonazepam to go.
No.
I’m very afraid of the dark,
And movies stress me out.
I can, but I won’t
Not even to see the new bladerunner or star wars film?!
I can go but, I am very hard of hearing and I can’t follow the plot because the background music in movies is too loud and I can’t hear what the characters are saying. I’ve only seen one movie since 2011. I can only watch movies with subtitles.
Nope. 151515151515
I didn’t vote because I’m unsure. I haven’t been to a cinema in eleven years. The last movie I saw at a theater was Grandma’s Boy. I have a feeling if I went to a cinema now I’d be looking over my shoulder for half the movie, unless maybe the movie was so good and so engrossing that it would distract me from my paranoia. That’s doubtful, though.
I can’t go due to anxiety, restlessness and poor concentration. I have to wait for bladerunner and star wars to come out on dvd so i can watch a bit then pause it then watch a bit etc.
I went and saw Dunkirk a few months ago and I really didn’t enjoy my time. The movie itself was pretty good, but I was too restless and paranoid to really enjoy the experience.
I can go anywhere I want. I might cause trouble or freak out or have an episode or get kicked out or have a panic attack. But hey, on principle I can go there.
I can go anywhere I want at least once.
When I was on “substances” in my late twenties, one day i would be sitting in an abandoned house partying with hookers and ex-cons and the next day I would be sitting in the movie theater on Stanford University campus watching “The Lost Boys” with a bunch of future doctors and lawyers.
I would never want to relive those experiences again but it was interesting.
I could be spending the night in a crack house and in the morning I would go to work. I went from my friends house in an exclusive neighborhood in the hills and then we would drive to the city that had the highest murder rate in Northern California and risk our lives scoring some illegal substances. Yeah, that was a trippy era.
I could probably go to the Cinema with certain people I trust.
I still would have a difficult time.
My anxiety and paranoia would get in the way.
I can, but I hate the part when you first walk in, most people are already seated and all eyes are on you as you stumble about trying to find a seat in the dark
I can, but i never go anywhere other than work and home
I can’t. It’s too stressful for me. I prefer to watch movies at home.
the same as arlbar. I can, i am on my feet but still very anxious often.
Due to stress from everything else and failing to stay informed about the movie industry, I almost never go to the movies. They are too loud. You have to get there, buy a ticket, and enter the theater. I didn’t like the theaters. They were too gaudy and too loud and they sold foods which were harmful. I had been going with a friend for a while. I would let him suggest the films to see, which relieved me of having to choose from a glut of different products.
Where i live the cinemas are inside shopping malls.
I hate shopping malls they stress me out so there’s no ways I could go an extra step to the cinema.
Not happening
I hate it. I used to love it. But my mind can’t flow naturally in a quiet room full of strangers. My anxiety blows like a volcano. But this is also because I feel like everyone in my town wants to trigger me.
Yes my bf and I go every once in a while. Last we saw was Wonder Woman and it was so good I got through the whole movie with lots of excitement. We might go see the new Bladerunner this Saturday if his cold gets better. We also put on movies at home and somehow I always have a easier time watching movies together than alone. Kid movies like Secret Life of Pets and Toy Story are also easier. I still can’t spontaneously enjoy movies like before, but it seems to be good “practice” for my mind. Its no big deal if you can’t go to the cinemas though. Lots of ways to enjoy movies these days.
