The cure for schizophrenia might be as simple as injecting an adeno virus into the temperal lobe. They already approved a sickle cell drug for replenishing the cells all it might take for us one day would be a needle to the brain

Basically the technology already exists for the cure for schizophrenia but everything is lagging in the clinical studies right now.

Injecting adenovirus into the frontal lobe along with crispr cas9 cells the technology is already there but not many people are working on it

And all a lobotomy is, is just sticking an icepick into the brain and swishing it around. The simplest cures can be deceptively dangerous.

Yeah if it was so easy we’d be doing it. Meanwhile my shrink is pretty good and still young enough to remember the institutions.

He suspects that the sz breakthroughs will come from research like this. It will be other things that get found out to help with the sz. In reality a lot more money is being spent on alzheimers and other research. Sadly sz doesn’t get the dollars spent on it.
