Has anyone heard of any pets of today, dogs, cats, etc, that were showing schizophrenia symptoms, such as a dog barking at thin air as though there is something actually there to bark at ?

He was barking at the reflection of himself… I think he thought that it was another dog or something

Well I looked up “Schizo Dog” on Google. The best I got in responce was Shih Tzu Dog and Shih-poo Dog.

I asked my dog’s vet about dogs having sz. She said she’s never seen one and doesn’t think they’re capable of developing sz.

I have heard of an inbred lion with Down’s, though.
And I had a ‘mentally challenged’ cat once.

I think I read that animals dont develope schiz. Some may have psychosis though
