That’s funny ! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The mouse studies indicate they might.

I love this one!

Animals can get schizophrenia, they study it in mouses, they get agitated (positive symptoms) and isolate from the group doing nothing (negative symptoms) and have memory problems in a maze (cognitive symptoms). Scientists induce schizophrenia by injecting them with street drugs like ecstasy, magic mushroom (Psilocybin) or Phencyclidine (Angel dust).

I had a fleeting thought of my dog being able to read my thoughts, he seemed to know I do not know just seemed to know what I wanted

Haha same for me, I punch walls and doors/mirrors.

My last dog suffered from neurotic tendencies.
He was prone to anxiety, lots of dogs like this.

He was a rescue dog and probably exposed to trauma early in his life.

Poor baby.

But dogs don’t become schizophrenic.

They don’t get it. Animal models of sz are approximations of sz made for example by genetic modifications, lesions to the brain or psychoactive substances.

If you’ve ever owned a cat and they seem fine one minute and then the next minute they crouch down and their ears go back and their eyes are wide open and darting around. And they look like their looking at some demon or something but nothing is there.

It’s crazy when my cat started doing that and I told my sisters and a couple other people and they said that’s normal for cats.

Or in my studio my cat would just all of a sudden take off running all around the apartment. But I learned just about a month ago that is normal too and it’s just nervous energy.

Animals can get “crazy” when someone beat them durably…
It’s a fact.
