Yeah I know. Going to need daily gym attendance the Doctor said, and my wife concurred. And a stricter diet. Good mental health and good physical health are meant to be hand in hand I think. We’ll soon see haha

My high weight was 296. Current weight(picture in the green shirt) is 219. It’s been a rollercoaster ride but I was able to lose weight after getting off Lexapro and Invega Sustenna. Currently I take Geodon and Loxapine.

How do you keep yourself motivated? I feel kinda depressed about my weight. I gained so much on olanzapine. I can’t really change meds either so I don’t know if it’s possible to lose weight.

It’s possible to lose weight on any medication. If you keep a calorie deficit you will lose weight. What makes it hard while on meds is they increase your appetite. You have to be very strict on your calories in order to lose weight. You can start by making small changes throughout your life to help. If you normally don’t exercise start by going for a walk around the block 3 times a week. Then the next week go a little further. Start cutting calories by taking small things out. If you normally put butter on your toast maybe switch it out for a lower calorie butter spread(her in the US we have “Country Crock” that’s half the calories of butter). Maybe instead of having two pieces of toast in the morning have one piece with some protein added. Protein is so important because it helps you feel full. I always do a protein powder mixed with water in the morning with a banana. That’s my breakfast.

Ok, thank you for the advice.

I have a gym membership card but I don’t go. I should but I feel lethargic. I also feel depressed over what has become of me.

In the morning I eat muesli with yogurt, then I make a coffee or tea. For dinner I often eat chicken with rice.

It’s not my diet that’s so bad, it’s the fact that I don’t move that has made me weak and obese.

They say it’s 80% diet and 20% exercise that causes one to gain or lose weight. I had to fix my diet in order to lose weight even though I was being active. Maybe see if your insurance will cover a dietitian, that’s really helped me
