Has anybody tried to switch medications with pretty bad cognition due to psychosis like me?

This is pretty freaky. I have pretty bad cognition. And I want off invega and on to Abilify. Has anybody gotten better by doing this?

Well I was just sleeping all day and my thinking process slowed to a halt on risperidone, everything changed after I switched to abilify

Higher doses of APs messed up my cognition. High doses of Haldol or Clozaril turned me into a drooling lump that can’t read, speak, or concentrate. Lower doses of newer APs like Rexulti and Geodon didn’t affect cognition, but I had to learn to live with positive symptoms.

What do you think of Abilify?

Invega is just terrible

I lived with positives for many years. Because I was taking low doses of clozapine. Eventually I lost it and relapsed. For me living with positives was very strange when I think about it now. I was writing psychotic things down that I wanted to remember and just doing psychotic stuff. Very strange. But I lived I guess. Lol

That sounds like me last year. Well kind of… I kept having mini relapses and then coming out of them.

Until I went off them completely last year and lost the plot.

Now I’m on a higher dose

I never changed AP but I wish you good luck with it. :herb::four_leaf_clover::herb::four_leaf_clover::herb::four_leaf_clover:

It wasn’t great. I had a worse time on Abilify. The best med for positives for me was Clozapine. Knocked them flat. And then it knocked ME flat. Shame.

Abilify has worked for me everytime i have been put onto it. It does give me akithisia though, which i take propranolol for. Cognitively im fine, but concentration or focus needs work, has improved a lot in the last six months tho so i shouldn’t complain
