Halopreidol

Hello, I’m in haldol since 4 years and I feel like so stupid. Can ECT give my intelligence back?

Unlikely. Do you still have symptoms?

Yes I still feel stupid,

That’s just a side effect of the med. I have it too.

Can electro therapy help?

I don’t see how. It can also cause memory problems and just make the whole dumb feeling worse.

Can you read? I can’t get through a book.

I was on Haldol for a long time, and I felt that way too. You might ask your pdoc to put you on Geodon and Seroquel. When I was on Haldol my creative writing was atrocious. Now that I am on Geodon and Seroquel I can write again. For some people Geodon and Seroquel is a perfect fit. I feel so much better on those drugs than I do on Haldol.

I came off that drug as it sedated me in a very weird way. Not that I was tired, I was just vacant, I lost my ability to think at work, and my problem solving skills were diminished.

I switched meds and it went away. I don’t know anything about ECT

I’m taking 4 mg of Haldol. Don’t notice any side effects.

What drug are you using now?

If u have treatment resistance sz or depression… its good idea to try ect…

Maybe typical antipsychotics cause that more than atypicals. I don’t know

Have you ever been on another medication?
