Feeling down and can’t deal with life. Pdoc upped my clozapine. Hope that helps. He said it would be fine if home care came in the morning only and bedtime meds and weekend meds I’d be on my own. I’m thankful for that. He also said I should use my SAD lamp twice a day for 15 min each time but if I feel it’s making manic to stop. As they say the beat goes on

What dose of clozapine are you on. I take 200mg in the morning and 300mg at night.

You sound like you have a lot going on at times. But you’re doing well from what I can see.

Follow the docs advice about the lamp.

Did you say that the SAD lamp makes you manic?

My lamp makes me hypomanic.
This is why I’m hesitant to use it.

I need to feel a tiny bit manic, maybe a SAD lamp is what is needed. Feeling so unpassionate right now.

Yeah, a natural light box. SAD stands for “Seasonal Affective Disorder”, the lamp fixes that.

Sorry to hear that you’re struggling so much @FatMama. Hopefully the increased dose of Clozapine will help give you some relief. I’ve switched to Clozapine myself but i’m not at therapeutic levels yet. However, i’ve already noticed a difference to myself, so hopefully a little bit higher dose for you will give you some benefits. How are you going with making those blankets for your family?

I just bought a SAD lamp from Aliexpress for $40 USD shipped. Normally it’s at least $100, with some going up to $500, but it’s just a 10,000 Lux white LED. Doesn’t have to be that expensive.

If you search for 10000 Lux you’ll find the SAD lamps for sale there.
