Got prescribed Ativan

Should I take it or not …prescribed 5 pills for three weeks …am scared it will cause derealization as a withdrawal symptom or so …I do t want to take it but I will be forced by family to take it I know

Ativan did the reverse on me and gave me panic attacks lol

It might help a little bit. I chose to stop it after a while because of memory issues.

I take it as needed for anxiety. 1 mg. Fairly low dose, but it helps

oh, thanks. I was on loraz in hospital and got addicted to it… it did bugger all but eventually i felt terrible without it. they switched me to valium then weened me off that

Only 5 pills is unlikely to cause withdraw symptoms. Just try it and see if it helps. It has a very short half life.

I used to use it when I got panic attacks. Sadly I got addicted to it and it didn’t work anymore. I now no longer take it.

It’s ativan not Xanax that’s different

Both are benzodiazepines. I was addicted to them for years. They do help a lot with anxiety though, mainly Xanax.

I prefered valium to both xanax and lorazepam because it last longer so if you miss one it doesnt really matter.

I got shot up with Ativan and an unknown dug in the psych hospital.
Made me hallucinate.

Ativan is great for anxiety or panic attacks. You’re lucky you got it. They just say it can cause memory problems? Cant remember. Never had any problems with it.

I’m on maintenance xanax until I get into a drug trial. 0.5mg in AM (about 5am) and 1mg at 10pm. But she said if I feel I need it increased she will go up to 2mg PM and 1mg AM. Might be doing that Tuesday when I see her, as I start working thru my RSD and get back to walking after being bedridden for months.

Had to take extra dose to be in my brother’s wedding last Sat. I was a bridesmaid but had to sit because of my cane, and my dress didn’t arrive in time so i was dressed like a groomsman on brides side. Was embarassing.

I take it. It helps with my anxiety. Really good med.
