Zyprexa was able to help you for 17 years which is very good. It is much better than keep changing med. I am glad that you able to lose some weight. Does weight gain subside after a while? Do you feel hungry all the time or you just gain weight on normal diet.

Well, I was gaining until I started really trying to eat less. It didn’t help that I stopped smoking 6 years ago, before that I was overweight, but not obese, like I am now. I dont know if zyprexa makes you gain for other reason than increased appetite and slower getting full from meals, but I wasn’t skinny before zyprexa either. But its really the only AP that works for me.

I never noticed anything from my shot until about two days after. Took time to get in my system.

Now Abilify makes me feel as if I am starving all the time.

I hope it will continue to work for you and you can keep losing weight.

One potential problem with the meds is that the good effects (when they happen) can be eventually overshadowed by the side effects and weight gain and all its potential consequences are one of those things.

@anon94176359 Well you could’ve been unbelievably Poland

Joking aside, I’ve never known myself being really hungry on the day I’ve had my depot . I do have days when I feel more hungry though.

Hey @anon94176359,

Have you ever tried counting calories on my fitness pal? I find this works for me.

As long as your diligent about recording EVERYTHING you eat you’ll know exactly how many calories you’ve eaten that day…

Edit: there will be good days and bad days. Yesterday I had a 4,100 calorie day, that was a bad day. These need to be recorded too
