Did your hunger with medication eventually go away or subside the longer you were on the medication?? Please state what medicine you take/took in your response. I am on Vraylar and I’m constantly feel like I’m starving.

Vraylar is supposed to be similar to abilify. I beat hunger cravings by taking this. I don’t know why it works but it just does.

You can get more powerful bcomplexes but they interacted with abilify to give me chest pressure. The one above in the link seemed just right.

Depakote makes me crave carbohydrates and junk food.

Zyprexa made me practically want to eat sugar straight from the bag and it never went away. I gained 90 pounds on it before I stopped taking it and switched to Haldol (just one of many times on Haldol for me, which I find to be weight neutral).

Risperidone makes me very hungry. A psychologist told me my hunger will go away. I doubt it.

Not necessarily, wait for more people to reply who actually have experience with Vraylar. Zyprexa is known to be a bad one for weight gain, although I was on it when it was brand new, so it wasn’t as well known then.
I’m trying to remember who takes Vraylar so I can page them to the thread, but I can’t think of anyone right now, sorry. I’m sure you’ll get more people.

Abilify made me binge eat to the point of making myself sick. Did not work well for me. On clozapine i eat too much but not like that.

Seroquel used to give me the munchies everytime I took it but my doctor switched it for trazadone and it doesn’t make me hungry I do miss the good coma like sleep of the Seroquel

Zyprexa made me gain 50+ pounds like, overnight. The hunger did not subside the longer I took it. It was a constant. I’m lucky I didn’t get diabetes.

I’m on Abilify and I haven’t gained weight. I’m 1’72 m and my weight right now is 60-61 kg. I must also say that I eat so healthy.

Invega made me feel like I was constantly starving, yet had no appetite in the beginning.
After about 2 weeks it started to subside, and now I feel relatively normal in that matter.

I had to laugh about the way you frased it, because it is my exact experience with Zyprexa and the reason I switched back to haldol. I was literally doing that: I was eating spoonfuls of sugar because I was SO hungry. Haldol is better, although I still have sugar cravings and weight gain, but I have a bad diet as well.
No, not for the last quarter century in my case. At least Geodon doesn’t give me the “appetite from hell” like other meds (Zyprexa!). I’m just sort of hangry all the time now. Zypexa left me on the hoary edge of being a cannibal.

Yes, but there are many side effects. My vision is very blurry, I’m starving, my eyes get tunnel vision, my blood sugar is uncontrollable, and I can’t sleep.

I become very hungry at night when I take quetepine it’s Sedates me and make me hungry
