Google search is finished in my opinion

I tried finding information on stuff in the last few days and A.I. has always beaten the old way of Google search and going to multiple web pages.

I use the Microsoft Copilot app on android if anyone is interested.

But yeah. Who da thunk it. Google knocked out.

The positive thing, I think, is that we’re already seeing the enormous potential of AI. It’s sure to be revolutionary for healthcare, and that will benefit everyone.

I also believe in next two years typing would be also extinct like hand writing.

Bye bye Google Search

The rare times that I now do a Google search Google gives me an AI response as the first measure

Yes, it does that for me too, sometimes. But the Google page A.I. response seems to be a very poor relation of the Microsoft Copilot app.

Google is a manual way of doing things in digital terms now, I guess. I find it useful for certain things. I believe in some instances google can be easier and faster for some objectives, like for example searching up a webpage, or getting anecdotal information.

Yet again, I needed some information.

I’m going to buy a retro console for my nieces for Christmas. I wanted information on whether a specific joystick :joystick: would work with it and how to make it work.

I spent ages on Google search trying to figure it out and came to the conclusion that it couldn’t be done.

30 seconds on Microsoft Copilot and it showed me how to do it and wrote the configuration files for me.

Google search is completely pointless now.

And if you ask it a question that implies you have an opiniion, it tells you what you want to hear.

Even the Chinese Search Engine Baidu (百度) has an A.I. response via DeepSeek. An example search of “Bruce Lee (李小龙)” as depicted below.

Hi @yinyang ! Haven’t heard from you for a long time. I hope you are doing well. I have been doing Gemini AI and I have found it pretty resourceful.
