The end of Google search? I don’t have a clue what chatGPT is though, so don’t ask me!
I am guessing Google will also have there own AI tools or buy some companies in the AI space.
Here is its answer:
Me: Are you the end of Google search?
No, I am an artificial intelligence assistant trained to provide information and answer questions to the best of my ability based on my programming and the data that has been fed into me. I am not a search engine like Google and do not have access to the internet to browse for information. Instead, I rely on the information and knowledge that has been programmed into me to provide answers to questions. If you have a specific question or topic you would like to know more about, I will do my best to provide a helpful and accurate answer.
Ive used gpt3 before for programming. Ill have to check out the chatgpt
That was clever of you to ask it that question.
One day im going to google something that sends this whole simumation to hell. It will literally break the code
Co-pilot amigo?
Ha man I’m getting old don’t even want to try.
Wont be long before we put on a headset and say “COMPUTER, I wan’t a martini on a beach filled with hot babes.”
Peeps been trying that for a while dude…
Yeah i used the ai codex when it was in beta, it was gpt 2 first.
It was quite interesting. You could tell it stuff in English and it would come up with a coded solution in most languages.
Like say
- Make a rock, paper, scissors game
- Keep track of the score
- Play against the computer
Then itll just go through its data and retrieve the solution.
I didnt try anything complex and large though. I bet it could make some pretty convoluted code with that lol.
Copilot would be good to check your work if your stuck i think.
I havent coded in a while ![]()
Ive seen it poop out good code… Prolly will be better than people before long.
Its sort of mesmerizing to see a computer just dump out ambiguous questionable code… Like da fu…
But look at the industry its 99% whatever gets the job done… 99% buggy/vulnerable.
Coding phase 1… Make the computer do something
Coding phase 2… Stop it from doing the things it shouldn’t (exception handling… Major ■■■■■ but fun if you like word problems)
I have a tendency to write good programs… That break entirely as I try to extend them to actually do anything relevant… Good approach bad methods.
I might be underestimating the computron… But thats all I can assume its auto-printing out
Haha yup the machines will take care of it for us. Eventually they will just do both phases ![]()
