Gonna discuss my depot schedule with my nurse

I get my depot every 3 weeks (I am also on daily oral APs). For quite a while now the depot has been crapping out in the last of the 3 weeks. And these last half dozen depots this has been very apparent.

I told the nurse in the clinic my problem. I told him I would like to get it every 2 weeks instead of 3.

The clinic nurse is gonna speak with my case nurse. My case nurse is due to phone me tomorrow.

We have actually discussed the depot timings already in previous appointments. She encouraged me to keep a journal detailing my general mental health throughout the depot cycle.

She said it would be good evidence to present to the pdoc at my next appointment.

I have only been keeping the journal for 15 days (it’s an app on my phone) so the doc may want more evidence before he makes any changes. I am fine with this - the feelings of the depot crapping out aren’t dangerous to my health, just very unpleasant.

You might need a different med. Or pills. I know you like the injection, but pills wouldn’t run out of effectiveness every 3 weeks.

I think documenting everything is a great idea. Good luck!

Just go for a shorter time span between the injections. I can tell you when my illness was on the worst I got changed from injections by weekly to once a week. Today I’m at the best ever and I only get the injection every 3 weeks. I’m really experienced on injections cause I have used the same injection for quarter of a century so you can count on my advice
