It’s good to be able to go to these sorts of things, but in the long run, they’re not for everyone. I used to go to parties and I enjoyed it, but they could have been at a reasonable hour and there could have been less drugs and alcohol. I find that people in my area of the states just drink and or use drugs, usually late at night.
But some parties are more mature and are definitely worth showing up and enjoying yourself and the company of others.
I sort of enjoy being away from that scene. I mean I had my fun in college, I did some wild stuff, but it’s nice to just have a peaceful place to live in. There’s too much chaos going on in my head for me to think benign chaos is fun.
Maybe I am just getting old. Actually, the people in my hometown think I am autistic.

That’s great news @PeteQ I bet you are glad you went! What a nice outcome.
I like having people over for dinner. I like to cook for people. Last time I did that though, I mixed wine. I went from chilled wine to room temperature and it made me really sick.
I haven’t done it since then but I hope to again soon.
