Going on new antidepressant

Last week, I’ve gotten onto Lexapro as my pdoc felt my Effexor wasn’t working as well as it used to. However it’s been a rocky transition since our insurance wouldn’t cover my old medicine so that I could wean off of it safely, which obviously resulted into quite a bit of emotional problems and slightly more mood swings. The good thing though is that I’m feeling better from all the mess that last week; I’m just impatient for the Lexapro to fully kick in.

I also want to know for any previous and current Lexapro takers, how it was like for you. What was/is your experience with it?was.

I really liked Lexapro. It helped with mild depression and it helped with ruminations and OCD type behaviors. I took it for years. I had to stop taking it because I needed a stronger anti-depressant otherwise I would still be taking it. I had no side affects from it. I think you’re going to like it. Good luck honey.
