The job is too easy, it’s freaking me out. Janitorial work is not that hard anyways, but the supervisor will tell me what to do and then tell me, “Take your time, go slow, there’s no rush.” Today was super easy too. I vacuumed the assembly room, the room where they hold lectures for soldiers. It’s pretty big with tier seating but once you find the system to doing it with the least waste of time and movement it goes fast. But my supervisor told me, “It should take you a long time.” Of course she meant don’t vacuum it too fast because there was not a lot of work to do today and we needed to stretch it out.
After I finished she told me to wipe off the tables/desks in there, another easy job. I was all alone in this big room working by myself which I love because it’s so peaceful. The two supervisors also give me a 15 minute break at 2:00 pm which I am not entitled to because I don’t work enough hours to qualify for a break but the supervisors says take the break but don’t tell the big boss. Another weird thing is that my job is not in my own city it’s in another city 45 minutes away and the minimum wage there is $15.00 an hour, which is actually the most I’ve ever been paid.
Yeah, I’m starting to think that things are too good at my job. It worries me.
