It works, but a lifestyle change isn’t easy when you are set in a previous style.
I stopped buying sugar. So even if I crave it. Can’t have it.
I don’t have the luxury of not having it in the house. My mom and dad buy sweet treats and my dad often bakes them. Not really an option here.
That makes it really easy to mess up.
Self control will be really challenging. You sound like you are up for it though.
Thanks @Kxev . Been doing good last couple days . It’s going to take several months to reach my goals, even at an accelarated rate though, so who knows. We will see. I’m pretty motivated.
Day 2
7pm
Posting early today because I’m tired and may oversleep posting time.
Weight 234.2
Blood sugar 121, its only a couple hours after supper so I’m expecting a significant drop soon. May have to snack when wake up.
Had a small bowl of peanuts for breakfast, 850-900 calorie supper and 2 sugar free oatmeal cookies with mini glass of milk. Think I’m limiting calories pretty good. Blood sugar readings exceptional compared to what I was getting with normal diet and snacking.
Edit: also did dog walk and some squats.
Before you do anything envision in your mind exactly what weight you want to be. If you hold this image throughout the days your body will consume less calories naturally. It all starts in the mind!
Cheated a bit tonight and had a few crackers with slice of cheese and a couple more sugar free cookies after my nap. Oh well, as long as I stick to the reduction, I should still lose weight.
A bit disappointed in myself that I gave in on the second night, but will just get back to it.
Hey Bowens I slipped and drank beer Friday a week ago. All you can do is get back on the wagon. I usually am harder on myself for skipping than others are. I’m back at AA meetings now.
Thanks @anon54988740 . I will do the same.
B420 probiotics helped with my appetite quite a lot
One trick I learned at Weight Watchers years ago was to buy a shirt or pair of pants one size too small and measure your success by when you can fit into them.
Weight Watchers was nice back then because they had weekly meetings you went to like AA does. I don’t know if they do that anymore.
After consultation with others, and many peoples input, I’m going to dial back on this diet some. Got too many other things I’m focusing on at once. Still going to diet some, but not going to pressure myself to lose weight so quickly. Going to close this thread. thank you to everyone who contributed to it.
