Geodon for voices? 😾

How effective is it?

You better ask a doctor.

It’s been very effective for me, but med’s can affect people differently. I take it with Seroquel.

You don’t have voices as a symptom, though crimbly.

I have a form of it. When I am not on my med’s I will hear someone three blocks away talking about me. Or I’ll hear people talking about me in a restaurant when I’m the only person there. I got that kind of thing quite a bit. I don’t know how you would classify that, but Geodon and Seroquel took care of it for me.

ziprasidone is just as affektive as haldol or risperidole for voices.

Thanks I was taking haldol…

it can block them out pretty well, depending on the dosage. You need at least 80mg a day to block out positive symptoms if you have full blown schizophrenia.

Thanks mousy. :icecream: my doc just started me on 20mg twice a day. That’s not enough, huh? I still have my haldol .5mg though for back up.

Don’t take haldol and Geodon at once, Geodon doesn’t mix with old meds because of heartbeat problems it causes

So I’m just suppose to deal with this half ass voices ■■■■?

Nah you should call the doc and get on more Geodon

I should double it right bro… Here I been just popping a haldol when I’m starting to hallucinate.

Safer to double the Geodon than take haldol and Geodon

Geodon doesn’t make my voices go away, but it makes them pleasant background chatter or songs instead of violent screams of my family being tortured. And yeah, mixing it with other drugs can be dangerous. I had to get an EKG before they would let me combine it with Amitriptyline. Something about prolonged QT syndrome if I recall correctly. If your doctor is letting you use both together, he has probably decided you are not at risk for developing heart problems. Geodon is my miracle drug, and I hope it works for you too!

You only take it at night?

Yeah. I take 60 mg at night. If you have trouble staying awake during the day, your doctor can probably put you on only an evening dose too.

I read that geodon is taken twice a day due to half life?

Hi @LovelyCreature! Typically, we like to leave inactive threads alone and just start a new thread instead. This is different than how some forums are run, but we do it this way because it frequently upsets users to have old topics revived when they are no longer relevant. It can also be frustrating to the person who revived the thread when they don’t get a reply, because the original poster is no longer active or no longer finds the topic relevant. Feel free to start a new thread on this topic.

Thanks,
