I am planning to switch medication , can any one tell more about their experience with
Geodon(Ziprasidone) over all and also for hallucination and Pychosis

Geodon has been great for my auditory hallucinations and paranoia. I have a few side effects like hunger and impotence, but nothing too terrible.
I’ve been on Geodon 80 x 2 daily for over ten years. It has allowed me to have a quality of life I didn’t think was possible before I took it. For some people Geodon is The Answer. I have had side effects like reduced sex drive and loss of muscle mass, but I don’t think there is any psychotic that wouldn’t have that effect on me. I don’t feel like a walking piece of ■■■■ when I take Geodon.

I like Geodon and if you’re a Tina you probably aren’t worried about erectile dysfunction. The only other sides I have are tremors and fainting if I try to get up and get out of bed to fast. I will hit the ground. The first time it happened I put a hole in the wall with my head so be careful. Lay in bed a few minutes before you try to get up.

Does Geodon elevate prolactin levels in the blood ? As my prolactin levels are already high .
I’ve been on Geodon for over 20 years. It works pretty good but is not enough for my positive symptoms. I have to have adjunctive Risperdal Consta and Seroquel to control my psychosis and mood symptoms.
I have to warn you that when you first start on Geodon, it makes you overwhelmingly sleepy. So, it is very dangerous to drive a car when you first start on it for the first several months until you get used to it.

I take both of my geodon capsules at night so I avoid the daytime sleepiness. Unfortunately I am changing meds soon because I can’t sleep at night and I think it’s the geodon that’s screwing me up.
My pdoc doesn’t believe that my morning dose makes me sleepy and my nighttime does makes me insomniac. Why would I lie about something like that? ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■. I’m changing pdocs
Geodon didn’t do that to me. Different strokes for different folks. It does affect my sleep, though. When I don’t get my Geodon I cannot sleep. Also, I take Seroquel 400 x 2 daily with my Geodon. For a long time I didn’t think the Seroquel was doing anything to me, until I didn’t get it for a few days, and I was a little more jittery than I wanted to be.
Geodon was a miracle cure for me. I take 20 mg in the morning and 60 mg in the evening. This keeps me happy and sane, and I don’t get side effects at all! On higher doses, I had reduced sex drive and sleepiness, but on my current dose I’m fine. I’ve been on Geodon for over five years.
Geodon almost killed me. For me it was the worst medicine ever… Could never take it again…
Gordon has done nothing for me I can tell even though I take resperdone to for psychosis so I could be wrong. As to which one works best.
Geodon has kept me psychosis free for a year now. It is my little miracle. I second @SkinnyMe on not driving when you first take it. No one warned me and I passed out in a Walmart parking lot. Thankfully I was parked.
