Genetic home testing: why it’s not such a great guide to your ancestry or disease risk

I didn’t care that much about connections to famous people and didn’t get a test for disease risk. I never met my father so I was mostly just interested in what kind of white cracker I am.
I work out at home as the investment in equipment pays for itself VS gym memberships quite rapidly.

Recent studies suggest that every person living in Europe about 1,000 years ago, if they left descendants, is an ancestor of every European today.

I’ve heard it said we are all at the most 50th cousins .

Mind boggling.
But actually yes, when you read a mathematical explanation it probably becomes easier to understand “le pourquoi du comment” (= “the why of how”) as Frenchies would say…

As soon as I get my genetic home testing kit in the mail, I’m sending it back. Thanks, @firemonkey.
