Gabapentin reviews

Would love to hear anyone’s experience with this med.

Ineffective for me

No help for anxiety?

what about buspar, heard good for the trooper too.

Haven’t tried buspar yet, started clonidine about two months back and that’s been a big help, still a ball of nerves though. The troopers all good! In fact the anxiety seems to make him even angrier lmao

Rexulti 3mg is my cornerstone med. I take quite a few other non AP meds on top of it. I also take 75 mg of seroquel for sleep

Tried for anxiety and sleep. Did not treat my severe anxiety - temporary sleep first few days then stopped working.

That’s kinda how clonidine has been for me. Life changing for a few weeks then tapered off

Tell me about your clonidine experience!!! I have a lot of experience with this medication.

It’s a little hard to describe. I would say I had roughly a 5 to 10 percent decrease in general anxiety, my focus is definitely a bit better, again maybe a 5 to 10 percent improvement. My moods do swing a lot and when I’m down it’s hard to notice a difference but when I’m well I would say doing things Is a lot less daunting, like making phone calls or paying bills. My sleep is definitely better now that’s for sure. I’m also a little less irritable and maybe a tiny bit better socially. I read an article awhile back that actually made me suggest clonidine to my doctor, it said clonidine helped with, as well as other things, sensorimotor gating which I’m assuming is involved in auditory hallucinations. Am I right there? Does that mean clonidine could potentially help with voices? I generally don’t hallucinate so no improvement there for me.

“Sensory gating” is said to be the central event in explaining the underlying pathophysiology of delusions and hallucinations in schizophrenia.

Good pick up I did not know this.

I have heard the theory that voices are the brain processing practicing patterns of hearing. Like in the default mode network and that these are scaled up into higher order conciousness. Which would use ideas like sensorimotor gating as the background for that kind of theory.

It reduces attention noise. Until increasing lazer focus or the power to hone in on one thing. I have long posts here you could find via search if you are interested.

Im on a combo of gabapentin and buspar for my anxiety. I take both twice a day, at 8am and 4pm. With especially the 4pm dose i can feel my anxiety reduce some. Its the worst for me in the evenings which is why i do my 2nd dose at 4pm. I have pretty severe anxiety. Ive been on gaba for almost 15 years and buspar for about 7 or 8.

has helped my anxiety alot.

I take 100mg of Seroquel, but my libido did take a hit.
