I don’t know of anyone on the forum who has been diagnosed with dementia.
But having schizophrenia doesn’t make you immune from getting dementia if that’s what you’re asking.
Welcome to the forum!
I think Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys now has dementia and he had schizoaffective for a long time.
I have had SZ since probably 1992. No signs of dementia yet. I am at elevated risk of it because of Parkinson’s. Welcome to the community.
I have had full-blown schizophrenia since I was 15, now I’m 22, so I can’t comment on the dementia part. However, I can comment on my Parkinsonism from my medications, and now when I get older I will probably have dementia. Schizophrenia used to be called dementia for the young before schizophrenia was named as such, so it doesn’t surprise me that many schizophrenics are at a increased risk of developing dementia.

I don’t get good scores on the dementia screenings my family dr has done on me.
Sometimes I can remember things, but often I cannot.
For instance if I watch a movie and then watch it in a few months, not only will I not remember what happens but I won’t remember that I’ve seen it at all.
I now keep notes in my phone that are labeled for easy access to help me remember important things.
I don’t know if it’s related to my sz diagnosis, but it’s a problem for me
