Does anyone suffer frequent headaches? I have a headache everyday. One wakes me up every night in the middle of the night. A tension headache. Sometimes they turn into migraines if I don’t treat them right away. It’s been this way for many years. I also have sinus headaches at the same time so it’s pretty miserable. Makes me grumpy.
I get headaches when drinking too much coffee probably because of my high blood pressure.
My most severe headaches were when I messed up my meds, I had headaches all day for 2 weeks. I was taking 4 Tylenols a day the first 3 days.
I had stopped Risperdal on my own without tapering and took a low dose Latuda. Never again.
That really sounds like the worst! Personally I had what they call cluster headaches because they occur in clusters over a period of time. I took excedrin migraine which helped a little but wound up seeing a neurologist who prescribed [something; sorry can’t remember] but it actually worked.
Have you heard of the cluster headache before leaf? Also I take it you’ve queried your doctors and such?
My experience came my junior year in college and we think lo and behold it was due to alcohol consumption. hmph!
yes, cluster migraines. I take excederin plus ibuprofen to get rid of mine. I think it’s because there’s something wrong in my neck. I gotta get it checked out. I’ll ask my dr next time I see her.
My mother had daily migraines for years until her family Dr gave her an injection in the back of her neck. Now she never gets migraines. Sorry I don’t know the name of the injection but maybe ask your Dr if he knows about such an injection.
It’s very real the pain - to sound a lot like the commercial that I think show cased the Mad Men tv show actress. And my mom didn’t tell me at the time, but apparently and even more to the point is that the cluster headache is also known as “the suicide headache”.
I felt like jumping in bc it’s the only example of a CURE that I’ve received in my entire life! Can’t we all lament on that partial topic by now? Lol.
I get migraines every day and my neurologist said they were due to the arthritis in my jaws and neck. I am getting botox injections now and they are not working. I wonder if cortisone injections would work on me?
I have a vague guilt on the topic because I’ve been free of headaches for 20 years… And all I can recall is that I saw a NY doc who prescribed an orange pill that dissolved under your tongue. And again that was 20 years back. I’ll check if my family has some record since my folks are well organized. I too, wouldn’t mind sending thanks to the guy because frankly I 'am one of those" for lack of a better word.
One of those what? @anon64158233?
I just feel different from norms, mostly But specifically I meant by placing a call to a doctor after 20 years and telling him thanks etc. I guess I just meant : a softee?
I’m the opposite. If I don’t drink coffee I get a headache
I used to get cluster headaches. The dr put me on inderal and overtime the headaches completely disappeared. That was about 25 years ago and I still don’t get them.
That is helpful, and as a matter of fact ‘Inderal’ sounds familiar…!
