Four days smoke-free

My last cigarette was Sunday evening, so this evening will mark four days of being smoke-free. I’ve been using the 4 mg nicotine gum, as usual, though this time I have not been allowing myself to cheat with Black & Milds. I hope I can keep this going. I still really want to smoke, but I’m fighting it.

Nice going!

Be careful with 4mg, that’s like smoking 2 cigarettes at once.

Congrats @freakonaleash!
Keep on going!

Congratulations @freakonaleash you are doing well

Buy a lot of chewing gum and carrots :carrot:

Well done for 4 days. It gets easier the longer you go. Be strong. You can do it!

Good for you. You can do this. Remember: “whether or not you have a cigarette, the craving will pass”. That quote helped me a lot when I quit.

Well done and keep trying. It’s not an easy thing to do but trying is great. Best thing you can do for your overall health is give up those cancer sticks!

You got this!! Keep up the good fight!!

Also remember that smoking is as much a habit as it is an addiction. Maybe you can learn to knit. To have something to do with your hands.

I have an eating problem. Maybe I should try that too

I quit smoking in January.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, everyone. I’m gradually getting used to having no cigarettes. I hope I don’t gain much weight from quitting smoking, but if I do that’s just what I have to deal with, need to get off cigarettes. I’ve already been gaining weight recently, I’ve gained four kilos in the past month, I just hope this doesn’t add to it.
