Hey, I managed to stay strong for 24 now. Its the first time ever I get 1 day without a prohibition to smoke.
I feel very stressed but I don’t need to smoke. I don’t want to.
Today has been the most productive day I can remember.
Here are some benefits I have experienced:
Best day at the gym I have memory of. I feel almost recovered from it aswell.
No nausea in the morning after smoking first cigar
I can feel more air going through my lungs
Taking healthy decissions like stretching or eating healthy.
I went to the doctor to clean my teeth knowing that i wont smoke anymore
Better body odor (less concerned with it)
Knowing I will save a lot of $$$ not buying cigarettes.
I don’t feel as depressed
No “I’m killing myself with each cigarette” guilt.
Cons.
I keep walking into the room where I used to smoke and walking out lol.
I feel pretty nervous. I couldnt sleep my usual nap either.
Last (and only) time I couldnt smoke for a week (teeth surgery), the first cig was glorious… almost with a psychedelic feeling to it. The difference I guess is that I didn’t want to quit but I was forced to.
That’s great! I hope u can stick to it. If u start seriously thinking of going back to cigarettes try nicotine replacement. It really helps. I quit smoking 16 days ago. After failing a bunch before i went to vaping this time and now nicotine pouches that go in the gums (zyn) (because i have bronchitis or pneumonia i decided to lay off the vape) but it was helpful to use nicotine replacement.
This is why ive been successful at quitting this time. Im at a little over 3 months. I used the patch at first but i havent used one in about 6 weeks. I honestly think the different this time is that i Want to quit.
When I first quit I used cinnamon sticks to help me. They still give you an oral feel, (not you with dirty minds) and the cinnamon contains a chemical that naturally lowers the heart rate when you start having a craving. You can get em in just about any grocery store spice isle.
