This is a tough one. Has anybody overcome gaining weight because of an ap medicine. Don’t they make pills to make you lose weight?
One way to overcome it, is to exercise…but what if people don’t like to exercise?
The reason why I am posting this thread is, because it pisses you off.
I gained about 70 pounds on invega. I’m no longer on it. I’m on Abilify. I’m in the process of trying to lose weight by eating less and exercise. I don’t know that there are whole lot of other ways to lose weight. Exercise seems to be the key, whether you like to do it or not.
I also gained alot on invega gained 80 pounds I have stretch marks on my arms and sides I’m still on invega but I think I stopped gaining weight
Thers a new ap that doesnt cause weight gain its Zyprexa with an another med that blocks hunger. I was prescribed metformin for weight loss but stopped taking it as it irritates the stomach.
İ gain 25 kilos at invega but it was mostly my mistakes.i eat lot.i m slowly giving my weight
Another way is to hire a personal trainer, and then even if you don’t like to exercise…you will succeed. Only if you can afford to. If you don’t like to go to the gym you can hire somebody to come to you house.
I fight the cravings to eat from my ap medicines. I just can tell when the medicine gives me cravings to eat…so I just don’t give into the cravings.
You exercise anyway or you get used to being fat. Diet alone might do it, but not in the majority of cases. Exercise pills are generally dangerous. Never take anything not prescribed by a doctor.
Craving is bad.i used to have lot of craving on clozapine.and it turned me totally chubby zombie.but i know some people who manage to not gain weight on this medicine.its possible but hard
