Any one know of anything i can take to curb sugar cravings?
@Sleeping, Yes, I get really terrible sugar cravings and I find that either 72% or 85% dark chocolate works really well. And I only need one or maybe two small pieces (or squares) a day. That lasts me a whole 24 hours. I always have it with plain, black, unsweetened coffee.
Sure beats eating 8 to 9 Oreos every day.
I have ordered some unsweetened cacao powder and im hoping that will help me
How is that going to satisfy your sweet tooth may I ask? Unsweetened cacao powder is very bitter.
I lobe chocolate so im hoping to make a healthy dark chocolate hot chocolate with maple syrup as sweetener
Maple syrup is no better than regular sugar unless its real, genuine maple and not factory produced. And I’m not even so sure thats any better. Probably not.
To curb sugar cravings you have to stop eating sugar and simple carbs. The cravings will get less in a few days or weeks. Once you hit the sugar again they will return.
I simply CANNOT quit sugar completely at my age (65) after a lifetime of a near constant sugar diet. So, I’ll do it my way, thankyou. @flybottle
Yes thats the only one i use. I hate all the other ones
Fresh fruits and vegetables work for me. Like baby carrots and celery dipped in peanut butter or cream cheese.
Oh, and chewing on sugar free gum stops me from snacking throughout the day also
I cut out all sugary foods 3 months ago. It seems like the sugar cravings went away after the first couple of weeks. For me at least, I cannot eat any sugary foods because the sugar cravings will come back if I do.
I take a small spoon of sugar in my coffee and that’s the only sugar I get unless I eat ice cream.
