There is no single sz gene.
There are many risk genes but many people have them without having sz.
We are a long way from editing out these genes… perhaps we will see editing for single gene defects like Huntington.

Very cool. Now let’s cure schizophrenia already. If we can change the genes of an embryo I feel we should be way closer to curing schizophrenia by now… Oh wait. Big pharmaceutical. That’s why.
