Fell into psychosis yesterday

It was pretty scary as I could tell and couldn’t do anything about it and felt i was really getting narried and I was being recorded and everyone knew except me the whole day making me super anxious… i do wonder if it was always sleep deprivation causing the psychosis…

Im not on antipsychotics and yesterday I was thinking of calling the doc to get on them

Why aren’t you on Ap’s? Are you diagnosed Sz?

Oh no @anon80629714, I’m so sorry. If you think it might be sleep deprivation, may I suggest giving it another day and getting a good night’s sleep to see if it repeats itself? Best wishes! (((HUGS)))

At least you haven’t lost touch with reality. Best call the doc and see about getting on meds. I’m sure this is a huge letdown for you, and I’m sorry. I was really hoping you had this beat.

My mistake. Might want to phone in in advance just so you have an appointment you can always cancel later if you don’t need it.

I just think that is strange that they would have you on meds for 10 years and then all the sudden say “welp, don’t need them anymore”. but I’m no doctor.

I didnt have a paychosis for 10 years and the course of the illness and presentation of it didn’t match

Hopefully if it happens again you maintain insight. Then you’ll be able to get meds and take them.

I have no idea about the AD playing a role or not. But in September I’d mention it to your dr

It’s definitely possible to experience all kinds of psychotic symptoms when you don’t get enough sleep. Even normal people get psychotic from not enough sleep.

You need to be able to speak with a psychiatrist @anon80629714.
AD’s are well known to induce mania and/or psychosis in vulnerable patients.
