All of a sudden out of the blue I felt lightheaded and shaky.
I hadn’t eaten a lot, so I finally ate but still feeling a little woozy.
Should I contact my family doctor at some point?
Anyone else get dizzy spells out of the blue?
Don’t know what’s causing this?
Can you take your blood pressure?
I know when my mother in law’s gets low she has shakes and feels lightheaded.

I get dizzy when my blood sugar is low like when I am hungry. I eat carbs and juice or something with sugar and I feel better after a couple of minutes.
Diabetes and caffeine withdrawal can cause this.

I have a blood pressure monitor @GoldenRex but my blood pressure never gets low.
Thanks.
@Aziz I think I was just hungry.
I ate dinner and am feeling better.
It sucks to have diabetes.
Thanks

It’s not healthy to skip meals when you suffer with type 2 diabetes.
I should have known better.

Do a sugar blood test. I am taking Metformin and will do a blood test for sugar soon. Metformin prevents and is used to treat diabetes.

Yeah I take Metformin too.
Some diabetes drugs cause low blood sugar but Metformin rarely does this.
Skipped meals can cause hypoglycemia or low blood sugar when you have diabetes.
I’m starting to test my blood glucose levels daily.
When I tested my blood sugar this afternoon it was on the high side.
But this was before I skipped lunch.

I am talking about a complete blood test given by a Dr. He then decides if diabetes should be treated.

I’m due for a complete blood test soon but with the Covid spread in my State I’m reluctant to go to my doctors office right now.
I’ll have to make that sacrifice soon though.
