So I’ve had sexual dysfunction from the six medications I’ve tried, two of them medications were abilify and seroquel which are supposed to have the least chance of sexual problems. Now trying new medications has been made impossible as I now require an antidepressant which are notorious for sexual dysfunction. Thinking of trying fluphenazine next.

, I had a divorce in America in 2000 that ended close to an 8- year marriage and a 10 year sexual relationship. After that in over 16 years I have not had any sexual relationship with any woman.

[ducking in, sorry] I’m on Lexapro, and while I definitely had sexual dysfunction on it to begin with, it completely vanished after a couple of months. [ducking out]
I had to drop taking an antidepressant since it multiplied the pleasure of sex by an incredibly dangerous amount.
You have to give your body some time to adapt to the meds i think. Im on latuda and i have decreased labido but at least i have a labido somewhat where as i didnt on risperdal
I was ranting to my therapist about this. They really need to work more on reducing crap side effects from meds. Maybe they need to slow down on developing new ones and work on improving ones they already have instead.
That’s why we’re all waiting on iti-007. It’s not supposed to have any side effects other than mild sedation.
I just don’t know if I trust that. Does it really have no side effects or is it just under tested? Has it had human trials? They used to say things like cocaine and heroin were perfectly harmless.

It’s had human trials, it’s going into phase 3 trials. It’s the best hope we have so far. But you’re right unfortunately, it could go wrong once it hits the general population.
Are you married? Sex is overrated in this country (The US). You don’t have to have sex all the time. Too much porn can ruin a person’t life.
Im having the same issues on seroquel and brintellix.For me it manifests as cumming too quickly and not feeling satisfied after orgasm. Which psychiatric drugs i guess it must be a necessary evil
