What medication doesn’t cause sexual side effects?
They pretty much all do. There might be some medications in the future that don’t though.
I know for men it’s different. I have never experienced dysfunction, just lack of desire when changing meds.
Do you guys think the iti-007 antipsychotic that might come out would have sexual side effects?
But like someone already said they pretty much all do it. But I guess its different for some, some it affects them some not.
Geodon doesn’t have sexual side effects for me unless I tam on a really high dose. Your doc can add Buspar to help with sexual side effects.
I had no issue with Latuda. Pretty much the same as being off meds with that regard. I had some terrible trouble with a bunch of others though. Clozaril was the worst for me and I would have some really uncomfortable dreams. Maybe 2-3x a week on average where I would climax in my sleep or something equally uncomfortable.
Lexapro seems to be A-ok for me, too as far as SSRI’s go. I feel like many of these are going to be case by case but Latuda is new on the market and formulated differently than the older a-typicals. I haven’t looked too far into the specifics of its pharmacology and it’s been over a year now since my last dose but I noticed a huge pickup in things (felt normal that way for once) once I switched from Clozaril to Latuda.
Seroquel causes minimal side effects except drowsiness, but this is plus. You can take this at bedtime, cut into pieces and it will knock you over. NO more feeling like a zombie.
