Fear of music

Delusions of reference keep me away now. I can watch TV and movies and generally be fine, but anything musical triggers me.
Do people with this problem just not listen to music? I wanted to be a musician. This sucks man

I have the issues with TV but not as bad anymore. If I find a way out I will tell u how I did it

I used to have some delusional ideas about what lyrics meant. So I started looking up the song meaning and interpreting it that way.

I try doing this but the delusions set back in- maybe it just takes a while

Reminds me of Chordy.

Streaming services are worse than “real” TV for it, I’ve noticed. I can watch normal TV and generally be okay, mostly ads anyways…

A former member who we believe has past. She was the matriarch of the forum. It’s a real shame… But she was very sick and hasn’t been online for quite a while.

No offense, the title of this thread reminds me of threads @pretzel (Chordy) used to make.

How long has it been since you started to have the delusions? Also… isn’t it crazy you can know somethings not real and your mind at the same time your brain forces you to have those emotions/perceptions :sob:

Yea man… I know how that is but I feel like at a point you have to move on. I hope we both get to that point

Maybe you can try some basic instrumentals. No lyrics

It works! Thank you. I started listening to some meditation music and now I’m listening to old rock and blues
