That is a large family. I heard a lot of families had many children years ago.

I think it’s because catholics didn’t use contraception

My mothers side she has 6 siblings

My family history people have abused alcohol a lot.
Both sides.
But there is also a world renowned person.
Unfortunately I can’t use her name here.
Psychiatrist illness also found in both sides.
It’s good I don’t get married it would be worse outcome.
Anyways my social family responsibilities are taken care by many others. So if I don’t marry world is not going to run out of humans

That makes a lot of sense

You seem to have a well rounded view of things.

I wouldn’t get married again, but think a female partner may be necessary so I can afford life later on

Yes partner is very important.

I am just waiting for the right age when I mature and sex won’t play a major role in a relationship. Then I may look out for a partner. Until then let me fight alone.

My father 's sister. But she came to psychosis after the age of 50. I don’t know whether it is schizophrenia or not. She was married with a Jamidar ( Land lord) family.
Once they buried their cash rupees on ground on their home, because of robbery fear. And all cash were finished by ground termite.
She died by drowning in a pond in this situation.

My uncle (mother’s brother) was schizophrenic. I’m 68 now, he was born in '23 and became schizophrenic while serving in World War II. He lived for 25 years in a VA (Veterans Administration) hospital until they let them all out in 1968. From then on, he lived in a boarding house and died around 2012.

This is a sad situation. She could have had a comfortable life, but the winds shifted against her.

There is a Hindu family I am friends with in India. I have visited a few times, and they have here in USA.

They told me there are no funds there for the elderly, except for pension if they had government job.

Yes it is. Only below provaty widow or handicapped or without family older women are getting (I think) lump sum pension of ₹ 1000 ($ 12) per month.
But due to priminister Modi ji, at least 800 million people has free food available. And also the ration cards are required biometrically verification. So no corruption.

I suspect, there is no diagnosis. I don’t think my dad and his siblings and father have schizophrenia, but something just before it becomes schizophrenia.

I put no for schizophrenia, but I have severe OCD on like four sides of my family. Also some bipolar, anxiety and depression.

Well, in the 1950’s my grandmother on my mother’s side had a nervous breakdown and spent a year in a mental hospital. She was rich so it was a real nice hospital where she spent the days playing piano. My mother spent years going to therapists and my dad told me at one point the doctors recommended that my dad put her in a psyche hospital. My dad didn’t want to do that and took care of her himself.

My grandfather on my dad’s side was a violent person, he got in many fights. He worked as a machinist in a youth prison and was attacked by the inmates several times but always messed up the guys who attacked him. He was deeply in love with my dads real mom and when she got sick and the doctor told my grandfather she was going to die my grandfather tried to throw the doctor out a second story window but they restrained him.

After she died when my dad was 5 years old it really affected my grandfather and he roamed his house moaning and talking to himself and scaring everybody and they had to remove my father from the house to live with relatives until my grandfather got back in his right mind again.

When we lived in L.A. at one point my dad became distraught on the way home from work one day. I guess he was going through some sh*t at the time and he was driving home on some roads he had driven on a million times before but he didn’t recognize his surroundings and he pulled over and got out and started wandering the streets and for some reason punched a wall injuring his hand. The cops picked him up and wanted to put him in a psyche ward but my dad refused and somehow they let him go.
