I’m just living for my friends and family. I chat with them. I listen. I support them. They listen back. I drink coffee. I walk. I browse this forum.

There’s no deeper meaning. Life is about living.

I’m not sure that anybody’s life has any real meaning.

By keeping busy and Doing Things. Doing Things keeps a person from sitting at home and catastrophizing. Over time you will become accomplished at those things you do regularly and develop feelings of fulfillment and self-confidence as a result.

I am here to find the beauty in one moment and to preserve it for the moments that follow.

I don’t know if my life has meaning or not. I just go to work, take classes drive my car and enjoy paydays and weekends.

For me I think it comes down to living life and keeping fantasy to a minimal level. Fantasy consumes reality.

Helping others can give a person a sense of meaning as well

I can’t say it always fulfills me, but I try to amplify the voices of the marginalized or people who advocate on other’s behalf on social media. I share art, images, and jokes, and I try to lift people up, challenge people’s preconceived notions of right and wrong, and stand up for the things I believe in. It’s not much, but it gives me something to do, even if it’s a very small role that I play. I imagine people probably find me a bit obnoxious, but it also gives me a voice.

You know I wasn’t going to respond because I didn’t feel I’ve given any meaning to my life but as I continued to think about it I came up with an answer.

The only thing I feel gives my life meaning is my partner. He is my everything. My reason for living. To answer the prompt, I allowed him into my life. Doesn’t sound like much but I was actively in the process of pushing friends and family away so I could kill myself. Now I realize that allowing him in was the best thing I have ever done for myself. It was hard but so worth it.

I’ve been reading the classics voraciously before. It felt so good. It was pure happiness. I’ve kind of lost that feeling now, but I’m hoping to get it back.

I have unusual beliefs that give my life meaning

Also being close to where I grew up helps with things a great deal.
