Early on I found taking it everyday gave me light headedness. Didn’t feel much different with anxiety.
It didn’t help I got normal release formulation later. Recently took a sustained release form. Realized I was not as anxious next day. It takes an hour to start working.
It doesn’t get rid of psychological anxiety instead of physical one. Makes anxiety more manageable. Clonazepam makes sure I feel and behave drunk after two hours. Can’t take it two days in row. Wake up red eyed in morning.
But more than anxiety I found propranolol helps with calming anger. This made me realize how much of a problem anger/irritability was.
I was prescribed propanolol a few days ago. I love it so far. Its the only thing ive ever tried that actually helps with my anxiety. I am on it daily in the mornings so its not a prn for me. Although i guess it wouldnt hurt to take a little more on a really bad day or something if need be. How can you tell if it is extended release or not? I dont know which mine is. But i assume it would make more sense to be on the extended release one if im taking ut every day.
I was prescribed propranolol to help with my restlessness. I don’t take it every day, but I take it if I start feeling restless which I usually feel in my legs. It helps most times
I dont fully agree with that. Benzos are so addictive and bad for your health over time. Amd you need to keep increasing the dose because you build tolerance. That doesnt sound very appealing to me. Of course they help as a prn though.
Yes. I take clonazepam maybe once in 2 or 3 months. Makes me sleepy if I take 0.5mg dose. And don’t want to build habit of it. Propranolol still take it as PRN but I don’t have to worry about getting addicted to it.
I found propranolol makes me bit lethargic/slow at times. But not as bad as clonazepam.
