Everyone I meet is asking me what I'm doing!?

Everyone I meet is asking me what I’m doing!? For a living, at my spare time etc.

I don’t do sh-it!

What should I say? It’s really annoying because I don’t have an answer for those questions.

And my relatives who know I’m not doing anything for a living ask me where I get my money? I mean wtf!?

I just want to move and isolate myself from society, like forever!!!

I used to feel like that. Its mainly just a conversation starter for most people. They want to get to know you better. But i know it can be embarrasing to talk about when we dont ever do anything.
Maybe either try being humorous about it. Like joke that you are a hermit or something. Or maybe actually get a hobby or something. Its always a good thing to have something to do or somewhere to go.

I like to be private about that. If you answer in a certain way, not rude but stating that you don’t want to talk about that I think they won’t try to continue that conversation.

No sh-it. I feel really awkward when people ask.

Are you sure this works??

I just say I work from home.

And if they really wanna dive into that conversation, I say I do freelancing work on the computer.

Yeah! You just need to be assertive and say it with some confidence. Or just be vague about it.

-Hey I’m doing dome stuff here and there, what about you?
-Hey I don’t like to talk about work, sorry. What are your plans for later?

I’m afraid to lie. What if they know what I’m trying to lie about??

This is what I’ve tried to do.

Yeah, I’ll try with this one.

Lying is problematic.

Yeah, some people turn into Sherlock Holmes when it comes to business. I just don’t want to be in a situation where I’m trying to get out of a lie I made.

Just say you have health problems. You don’t want to talk about it

If you are not rude about it and follow with a question asking for them (like you want to change the subject of the conversation), I’m sure they will stop asking that question.

If not, they’re just trying to be annoying. Try to minimize contact with those people if that’s the case.
