Ever been ghosted?

I think, not 100% sure, but pretty sure I’m being ghosted

I’m sorry @anon35166066.
By whom?

Just someone I know. No replies

Yeah, lost a texting buddy. I guess I wasn’t doing enough in the world to keep him interested.

Oh well, not going to bother him.

Yeah I think it’s because I’m not interesting either. I think they have maybe just moved on.

Aye, it happens. No hard feelings.

I’ve been ghosted before, and I’ve done the ghosting. Not proud of it, but I’ve done it.

I will say that you frequently worry you’re uninteresting/a pest/other people don’t want to talk to you. I’m not saying it’s all in your head, but if you’re concerned, maybe you should ask the person. It might just be a miscommunication on their part, or social anxiety on your part.

I have ghosted people when they are not good for my mental health. One was constantly borrowing money. Then he said all sorts of bad stuff about my son. He’s blocked for good.
I had one friend who i think got sick of my changing plans. Makes me sad but i understand

i hate being ghosted.
especially done by the person i loved.

but i would never ghost someone.
it hurts too much to let them suffer.

Too many times to count. And I’ve ghosted people as well. It’s expected on the internet, everyone knows the risks of getting attached to peoplle we only know online.

I’ve been ghosted and it hurt but I’ve also ghosted before. A lot of the time I hav ghosted because I’m too anxious to socialise rather then becus I don’t like someone

I am worried this might happen with a woman I am talking to on WhatsApp.

She said that it may put me off that she has a 6 year old daughter, so I said no that’s fine and a great thing.

I then thought I should tell her I have MI issues as we were being honest about ‘baggage’(Sorry terrible way of putting it), and she said that didn’t bother her as she works with adults with learning disabilities and mental illness.

I kinda did something silly, I am not sure though. I told her that with her daughter and work, I don’t want to become something else she has to worry about. Perhaps I should have not said this and left it up to her.

I will know if she messages me back today or not I guess.

I have also experienced this IRL, it’s not nice at all.

never heard that term before in a forum, we use to call jumping off our bikes while they kept going ‘ghosting’ or ‘a ghosty’ lol

I was ghosted by a woman friend over a year ago. But I was drinking at that time, so I can’t really blame her. I still have her email address, but all she had to do was block anything with my addresses on them.

Of course it hurts. I’m sorry to hear that, @anon35166066.
