I remember the first modem I got from a friend. It was like 2800 baud or something. It was that slow it took like 5 minutes to download a page of the then internet. I had money then. Went up the road and bought a 28000 or so…wow. The internet.
Back then I was living with an electrician and we had a null modem link between our computers. We used to play command and conquer against each other and this was like 1997 or so. We were so far ahead of the game. Used to play for hours on the weekends…it was a very different internet then!

The earliest memories I have of the internet is my brother screaming from the family room to get off the phone because he’s online bwahaha. Also that terrible dial up sound and aim!
