I have a question for the lovely forum: do you believe we can transfer energy to one another like energy osmosis (forgive me, I may be using the osmosis term incorrectly).
take as an example, I had work this past evening and was doing well, being calm and assertive. Then these two ladies approach my booth. they were aggressive, shrewd, and in a rush. they asked tough questions to which I had standard replies to. but in a flash, I went from calm assertive to passive reactive. I noticed a change right away as I became less effective at my job after dealing with the two gals. Now my question is, did they steal calm assertive from my energy field? or were they akin to a hurricane touching down and leaving destruction in its path? i’m embellishing here, but hopefully you get the point. can you hijack energy? where does the energy go?
No it’s kind of a mental bottle. I keep big glass gallon jugs and imagine all the negative emotions going there. It helps keep me calm, but by now I got a whole root cellar full of these things
Do you mean like how the power from the sun energizes life? Or how the flapping of the wings of a butterfly can create a storm somewhere else on the planet?
I don’t mean supernatural. If that’s where you think i’m coming from, you need to log off this site for awhile. It felt like a transaction: here’s a dose of craziness and in turn were going to take some those positive vibes emanating from you. If I can give positive feelings/emotions/energy to another, why can’t they be taken?
The word “taken” implies something supernatural. Emotions can’t be taken. Your mood is a result of what is going on in your brain, and no one can remove them from your brain and claim them for themselves. They can act like jerks, which again can affect your mood, but they’re not stealing your energy.
are you sure? then why do athletes trash talk each other? They get in their heads and essentially steal one’s mojo. in turn, they’re rewarded with more playing time, more confidence. boom, I just took away some of your swag.
