I tried to help my aunt, so really appreciated it. Then proceeded to tell her relatives I will help them.

I wouldn’t say that was your fault Ish, that’s people taking advantage of you, and you can tell someone nicely, ‘I’m sorry but i cant do that for you’ its nothing wrong with saying no sometimes so i get what you are saying.
Not even business men like what they call ‘yes men’ people who jusst nod and agree, they need people with backbone to be honest and speak their mind without being taken for a ride.
