Egotism elevated to morality

Schizo is mostly an irrational egoism. It causes an individualistic condition that decreases self care and makes several egotistical states such as grandeur, solipsism and persecutory delusions

Self-absorbed

Who else there right in your “world”
Selfishness looks selfish though

The tenets of this belief, or any belief, grow fuzzy when observed in the real world. I personally believe people like Bill Gates did a lot of good for our society when they made their money. We all got a good operating system for our computers while he made his money, but there are examples of smarter people who did the world tremendous good and who were barely noticed. The British scientist and code breaker did the lion’s share of the work breaking the Germans’ “enigma codes” in World War II, and they thanked him by driving him to the point of suicide after the war was over. That was one of the greatest examples of someone doing tremendous good for unselfish reasons. Also, the people who developed the vaccinations for the deadly diseases that wiped out people in massive numbers are completely forgotten today. There are examples of selflessness being a tremendous benefit for humanity. But in the case of the people who made huge amounts of money developing the infrastructure of a industrializing society, I don’t begrudge them their money. They got it by filling a vital need in the world. The Rockefellers and the Carnegies did what was needed at the time, admittedly in a harsh way, but I don’t know if what they did could have been done differently. So I can only go so far with Ayn Rand. Her concepts don’t begin to cover the wide spectrum of human experience.
