Dropping injection dose to 50mg from 75mg

I decided to drop my invega sustenna monthly injection down to 50mg from 75mg as of next injection. The medical professional I go to has approved the prescription change. I just injected myself with 75mg about 30 mins ago, so in 28 days I will be on 50mg. I want to try a lower dose because I am relatively free of symptoms and I want to minimize side effects. Some side-effects I have are slight weight gain, sexual dysfunction, high prolactin, and heart palpitations. When I dropped down to 75mg from 100mg my sexual function returned, I had more energy, and lost weight. I don’t really have any psychotic symptoms except for ideas and agitation which hasn’t been a problem for me.

The 50mg is what 3mg a day

Is that lowest dose?

Seems to be, the box used to say 50mg was the maintenance dose for sza but the box has changed.

Not sure what the conversion is.

I refused injection I was scared

Okay, im on lowest dose risperdal injection and low dose zyprexa. I dont want or need high doses. Good luck anyway.

Actually I decided against doing this. My medical provider said he wanted closer monitoring when I dropped down and I’ve decided I don’t have time for the appointments or want to risk being admitted to the hospital and getting fired from my job.

You get use to the needle and its so much easier than taking pills everyday

She told me the loading dose was 234 i think then in 8 days I would get one that was 100 and something, after that it would 34mg.

The maintenance dose for Invega is 117mg. I think it’s equivalent to 6 mg orally.
