Drawings done during psychosis

Just thought I’d share. All done during various episodes. My usual style is realism. Kinda drifted into the abstract these last few years.

thanks an I’m on a really low dose just to start off, just a couple milligrams. they’re raising it gradually as it doesn’t seem to be working too well so far. how about you?

thankyou. it drifts just like everything else does. dated sketchbooks are the best way to keep track of mental states at certain times, i find.

I agree, I keep all my art on my computer and so can tell how I was doing [whenever] based on how the art production was during that time. does drawing help you with symptoms? I think it’s been an anchor for me for a few years…

I agree, it’s something to focus on, especially when mind is unraveling and it doesn’t matter if it looks great or not. It’s like venting. Do you always have the motivation for art? There are times i don’t draw for months. I can’t seem to do it all the time but when i do, it helps me a lot

Yea i started on 5 and somehow ended up on 20…

weird actually how i got there.

weird how? do tell! I enjoy the weirder things

Very great! How much would you sell the top one for?

Art is my metric for how I’m travelling mentally, since it’s usually the one thing I can stay motivated for. If that goes, I know I need help. In the past 4 years, I think the longest break I’ve taken between drawing something is a couple of weeks… but for the past couple of months I’ve been drawing every single day, so staying afloat! Learning that it does need to look good, it just has to exist, was part of that

I honestly have no idea
I never thought about selling them
They’re just messy sketches
I can’t imagine anyone would buy them!

Could you take a picture of the two top ones so I can look at them more?
