So I saw a psychiatrist a few days ago and he believes that I have schizoaffective disorder. Although I somewhat have my doubts, the typical treatment for it helps me and I do experience psychosis when I am overly stressed, working too hard, or sometimes I just zone out. I also have moments of anger that I don’t remember. My husband has doubts about this (and so do I) and I am trying to break a generational curse of abuse. Does this sound like you? Do you experience what I experience? I do appreciate your time and guidance.

I get scared that my love ones are conspiring against me, and I see shadow people from time to time.

How did they diagnose you?
They did a phone conversation with me and I told them everything I experience and I struggle with anger a lot so they placed me on latuda and it really helps. It (well before I got on this med) it happened usually on a nightly basis.
I experience ongoing psychosis (positive symptoms: auditory and tactile hallucinations with mild delusional thinking). Stress makes my positive symptoms worse and will begin to erode my insight if it becomes prolonged. My diagnosis is currently paranoid schizophrenia.

I get some help from my meds but not enough. But stress definitely triggers paranoia for me.
A few tips on things that confuse newbies:
Cake day is the anniversary date of when you joined.
The 1515 or other numbers at the end of peoples posts are because there’s a 15 character minimum to post. So people put 15s after until they get to the minimum characters to post.
